How do function centres charge?

• It depends on the centre but these are common scenarios.
  • The venue centre charges a fee for the night which may include:
    • Room hire
    • Bond that is returned if the room is clean and undamaged
    • Cleaning fee
    • Cost for extra staff e.g. extra security, waitstaff etc.
    • Cost for DJ etc.
  • The venue may be free or charge a small fee but require that your guests purchase food and/or drink onsite.

Selecting the right function centre for your murder mystery party

• The more suitable the venue the better your murder mystery will be:
  • DO NOT PICK A NOISY VENUE! Your guests need to be able to hear easily.
    • No bands nearby
    • No piped music unless you can turn it off
    • No public spaces like restaurants unless you book it out or it has a private room
    • Consider attending your venue on the same day and the same time as your party to listen to how loud other nearby venues are
  • Have as much space as possible:
