3 Steps to Murder Mystery fun!

1) Order a murder mystery game for your group size.

2) Host the party yourself or hire a professional murder mystery host.

3) Have a murderous good time.

The Story

Setting: A party on Hollywood Boulevard.

Story: “The Star” has descended upon Hollywood and is determined to hit the big time. The only problem is that so have many other beautiful and handsome potential stars. “The Star” creates many enemies in their quest and ultimately this leads to a tragic death in the cellar. Many people are implicated but only one person is the true murderer. Unravel the story of the cellar, the dangers in the gazebo and the love affair that reaches its height just before the party.

Adult Themes: One character is The Plastic Surgeon.

Costumes: Guests come as their favourite Hollywood actor, personality or character.

How Do Costumes and Characters Work? To make the game as easy as possible to organise, your guests do not need to dress as any particular character. The costume they wear does not affect the character they play in the murder mystery. You allocate the murder mystery characters on the night of the party. This means that if guests are sick and can't make it or extra friends want to come then there is no impact on running the game.

Normal Use: Hens night, fundraiser, kids 11+, teenage or adult party.

Group Size: 4 to 8, 2 to 15, 2 to 60, 60 to 120.

Will you survive a night on Hollywood Boulevard?

Please check if your game is Downloadable or Boxed when you order.

Hollywood Costume Ideas

Hollywood themed parties are an opportunity for you to feel marvellous and fancy, while at the same time mixing with lovely individuals for an evening. Assuming you are going to a Hollywood party, remember that there are various kinds of Hollywood costumes. Guests can take on the appearance of a living actor, an old Hollywood actor who has died, or as a character from a movie or a tv show. Be sure to find out what kind of Hollywood party you are going to attend to prior to picking out your outfit.

Living Actor

A living actor Hollywood party is an opportunity for you to dress as your favourite actor or actress on the Red Carpet. Now is the ideal opportunity for you to wear a striking, elegant or classy party dress with your perfectly done hair. You don’t need to spend a fortune on an exquisite ball outfit, or get your hair and makeup done professionally. Just put on an extravagant looking dress from the op-shop, one that will sparkle or what you normally would see on the Red Carpet and some strappy (or crappy) heels. Accessorise yourself in a gold necklace, earrings and bracelets or bangles and you’re all good to go.

Old (Dead) Actor

Picking an outfit for Old Hollywood-style parties is a little easier on the grounds that there are now premade ensembles for a few popular actors and actresses. For example, if you were to choose Marilyn Monroe, you can do so without a stretch, find a version of the white strap dress for which she was renowned. Check vintage thrift shops to find an outfit fitting for the golden age of the silver screen. Sometimes, it simply takes adding a few frills from that period to make your costume amazing.
